Halfwheel 2026-
For the fourth time, Villiger will be releasing a cigar in honor of the Chinese zodiac calendar, though it won’t be coming to the U.S.
The Villiger Year of the Horse is a 6 x 52 torpedo that uses an Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro wrapper over a Mexican San Andrés binder and fillers from Nicaragua. It is produced at the Villiger de Nicaragua factory, which is owned by Villiger but run by Joya de Nicaragua.
It will have an MSRP of $25 per cigar and is limited to 1,000 boxes of 10 cigars. Those boxes are expected to ship in January, though this release is exclusive to the Asian market.
Villiger has released cigars for the last few years of the Chinese zodiac calendar: Rabbit (2023), Dragon (2024) and Snake (2025), though none have been available in the U.S.
