UTILIZING BOLD 5TH PRIMING LEAVES
Ralph Montero is a legend in the cigar industry. Now, he'll be upset and embarrassed that I've called him a legend, but I've known him for almost 40 years, and if I've known you for 40 years, you're old enough to be a legend.
Ralph worked along side Alan Rubin at Alec Bradley Cigars for several decades and was responsible for product development and creating brands. When Alec Bradley was sold to STG, he left and has become a partner at Raices Cubanas. The C5 Black is one of the new brands that has been created and it is terrific,
C5 Black is nicknamed el corte cinco. It’s a reference to the fifth priming leaves found at the very top of tobacco plants. These leaves are known for their richer, bolder, and fuller-bodied characteristics. Given that, it’s no surprise the company describes C5 Black as the strongest blend of the Raices line.
The wrapper comes from the fifth priming of leaves grown in Trojes. Dual binders from Estelí and Jamastran are used, while there are three rich fillers from Jamastran and Trojes.
This combination of leaves creates an intense and captivating smoke with hearty notes, full, balanced flavor and a long and lasting finish.
