EPC Seleccion Oscuro
Wrapper: Mexican San Andres
Country of Origin: Dominican Republic
Cigar Strength: Medium - Full-Bodied
After Ernesto Perez-Carrillo developed, sold and then eventually left La Gloria Cubana, people thought his career was complete. They couldn’t have been more wrong. Today, Ernesto Perez-Carrillo is running out winner after winner with his new venture, EPC Cigars. EPC’s La Historia was the #2 cigar of the year in 2014 and put EPC on the map.
Seleccion Oscuro is another of EPC’s recent releases and was honored as the #4 Cigar of The Year with a highly-deserved and rare 94 rating. The cigar features an oily Mexican San Andres wrapper encasing Ecuadorian binder and a blend of Nicaraguan long-fillers. The smoke is rich, medium to full-bodied and perfectly balanced with notes of chocolate and natural sweetness.
The construction and burning qualities are exceptional and the Seleccion Oscuro provides a long and lasting smooth finish.
Congrats to EPC as they continue to put out daring, complex and highly-acclaimed cigars.
