WE ALMOST NEVER BOUGHT THIS GREAT CIGAR!
Story Time! I've had my eyes on this cigar since their introduction in 2013. Unfortunately, I was told that this was going to be a company hard to deal with and they were always out of product. "Never mind", I said.
Still, I always liked this cigar, but kept talking myself out of bringing the brand in. Last year, I go to Chicago with a buddy. We're idiots, but we managed a 6am flight out of Philly, a Cubs game, dinner at Gene & Georgetti and then off to Biggs Mansion for cigars and drinks. It was back to the hotel at 1am for a 2am wake up call and a 5am flight back to Philly. (I told you we were idiots).
Anyway, at Bigg's Mansion, there was a $75 daily cover, but it came with a $25 credit for cigars. I ended up using my credit on the Curivari Achilles. The cigars were so good I knew I had to have them and a few weeks later, Curivari were in our humidors.
This small batch, boutique brand has developed quite a reputation. From start to finish, the Curivari Achilles is a Nicaraguan Puro perfectly blended and balanced with well-aged tobaccos. Graced in a hearty maduro wrapper, the finished product is rich, full and toasty with notes of caramel, pepper, cedar and spice. The cigars are magnificent.
Don't miss out on a terrific cigar and by the way, my reservations were off the mark as the Curivari people couldn't have been nicer. (Hopefully, this puckering up gets me some more product!)
