Cayman Cigar Co. was launched by Granger Haugh and John Lemuel “Lem” Hurlston, and while the company isn’t a non-profit, it functions as one. Cayman does that by donating all its profits to various charities, including those that support entrepreneurship opportunities for marginalized populations, assistance to American veterans and addiction recovery.
The company’s newest release is Broadside, a new core line that is made with a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler. The cigars are being made at Tabacalera Familia Disla S.A. in Nicaragua.
“Broadside represents an important addition to our core portfolio,” said Scott Haugh, founder of Cayman Cigar Co., in a press release. “We wanted to create something that delivers a deeper, richer smoking experience, a cigar designed for the moments when you want to slow down at the end of the day and truly enjoy the craft.”
The Broadleaf wrapper is magnificent, and the pigtail and slight box press are great features. The flavor is bold with notes of mesquite, cedar, hay and leather.
This cigar is a real powerhouse and is as unique as the company that makes it!
