“Fifteen men on the dead man’s chest –
…Yo-ho-ho and a bottle of rum!”
Remember these words from Robert Louis Stevenson’s “Treasure Island”. I don’t know if he was a cigar smoker or not and I don’t even know why these words came to mind when I smoked my first Camacho Nicaraguan Barrel-Aged.
This is the newest cigar from Camacho and features tobaccos that have been aged in very old Nicaraguan rum barrels. An Ecuadorian Habano 2000 wrapper, very flavorful to start, surrounds a Mexican binder and a filler blend comprised of Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers. The aging in the rum barrels gives this cigar a unique character. You will find subtle, but distinct, notes of spice, sugar and caramel.
Camacho is known for its bold and rich blends and the Camacho Nicaraguan Barrel-Aged is no exception. Medium to full-bodied with a hearty aroma, you will find this to be a great addition to the Camacho lineup.
