Altadis U.S.A. celebrates the 90th anniversary of Montecristo this year with a new magnificent anniversary cigar to commemorate the founding of this iconic brand. Only 10,000 boxes will be produced.

It features the finest tobaccos grown by the Plasencia family from their fields in the Estelí, Condega, Jalapa and Ometepe regions of Nicaragua, with the wrapper leaf coming from Jalapa.

Input and blending will be overseen by Altadis Master Blender and Vice President of Product Capability, Rafael Nodal.

You will find a flawless cigar with rich notes of roasted coffee, velvety dark cocoa, subtle spice and a long, rich creamy finish. Not only is the cigar amazing, but so is the box and packaging.

Montecristo was created in Cuba in 1935 by Alonso Menéndez. Following the Cuban Revolution in 1959, he and business partner Pepe Garcia fled the island and re-established the brand, first in the Canary Islands and then in the Dominican Republic in the mid-1970s. The brand eventually became part of Altadis U.S.A.’s portfolio.
