CAO Flathead now has a souped-up cousin, the V-21. In developing Flathead V-21, Rick Rodriguez and the CAO team upped the ante by blending a Mexican San Andres wrapper, a hearty Connecticut Broadleaf binder, and a bold, intense selection of Dominican and Nicaraguan ligero tobaccos.
They then gave each of the leaves an abbreviated fermentation to lock in the tobacco's native flavors and added a longer aging process to refine them.
CAO Flathead V-19 delivers the distinctive molasses and leather flavors associated with CAO Flathead, this time with even more depth and complexity. The cigars are presented in slight-pressed form and burn and smoke beautifully. The construction is magnificent.
V-21 has been limited to a production of just 2000 boxes per size and will only be available for a limited time.
